When my mother-in-law moved house last month I found a dusty cymbal in her out-house, and I'd like to find out a bit more about it.
It's no use to me as I play bass, so I'm planning to sell it for her (probably on ebay), but I want to get a fair price, and she and I were both interested in how old it is, as it was in her out-house before she moved in.

The Arabic has a very specific look, appearing somewhat wide in the lettering. The A stamps use a stylized way of writing Avedis (” وه ـض سا “) across the top with the letters sort of piled on top of each other.
These stamps are the only reliable way to determine the age of the cymbals.
I'd like to know when it was made, as I couldn't find any reference to Canadian manufacturing on the Zildjian website.
It should also be mentioned that these are also often referred to as Stamp III because of the big K.
In fact, that might even be more common than calling it IIb.
