Okay is it just me or are smartphones and widgets behind times, the weather widget on my Samsung Nexus does not update, for example it says it's still raining when the rain stopped 3 hours ago in my city and it's sunshine outside, I can calculate that the widget is behind for at least 5 hours.
It says that the temp outside is 40 F but in reality it's already 55 F because it's noon but it's giving me the temp from am (the widget's settings asks you if you want your weather updated every 15, 30 min or 1 hour intervals but it's B.
It's not like someone is looking outside in your area and updating Accuweather.
Can someone give some insight on how to fix this or what is causing it? I do not have any restrictions on background data for any apps. Ok so last night I cleared my cache partition and today they seem to be working.
I am using Sol Calendar month display widget (at least until google calendar finally gets one), Google Keep (this seemed to use to work when before android updated to 6.0.1), I also have tried to use Mint widget (summary specifically) but it says problem refreshing once put on home screen. Sprint Lg G4 updated this weekend to android 6.0 and since then my 1w weather widget does not update the time or weather automatically anymore. Previously the only way the widget would work again was resetting the phone so I will give it a few days before deeming the clear cache partition the fix for this.
In the interest of balancing useful information and battery life, the News and Weather widget in Android (for example) updates as soon as the widget is viewed after sleep. The last Weatherbug update included some way to share your weather socially. I have one app that updates every time they add an asian keyboard. With Android doing at least 4 versions - things are bound not to work on at least one update.
That's the exact widget I also use, but what Cabal says makes sense, maybe the date is crippled on purpose to save battery, if this is the case then it's not that hard to just push the little circle everytime I wake up my phone, but it would be nice if it updated automatically when I fire-up the phone. I've seen tablet owners wanting back to Honeycomb since apps don't work - same with phone.
Those friends only know about somebodys interest when they reciprocate through the app.
